FLOORTEK Self-Levelling Floor Screed
Product Description
FLOORTEK is a ready-to-use self-levelling floor screed designed to correct and level uneven indoor surfaces before the installation of final floor coverings. Thanks to its self-smoothing properties, it automatically levels the substrate and creates a smooth, flat, and durable base for a wide range of flooring systems.
The surface becomes walkable approximately 2 hours after application, and floor coverings can be installed once the screed has fully dried, depending on ambient temperature and humidity conditions.
Product Features
- Ready-mixed self-levelling screed
- Suitable for indoor applications
- Can be applied in a single layer from 2–10 mm
- Does not develop shrinkage cracks
- Suitable for machine application
- Creates a smooth and even surface
- High flexural and compressive strength
- Excellent surface hardness and abrasion resistance
- Fast and easy application
- Provides a professional-quality substrate for floor coverings
Areas of Use
FLOORTEK is designed to create a smooth and stable substrate before the installation of:
- PVC flooring
- Linoleum
- Laminate flooring
- Engineered wood flooring
- Epoxy coatings
- Wooden floor systems
- Carpet flooring
- Renovation and refurbishment of existing floors
Surface Preparation Before Application
For optimum performance, the substrate should be properly prepared:
- Remove all dust, grease, dirt, and contaminants
- Clean paint residues, plaster remains, and similar materials
- Remove weak or damaged layers and repair defects using appropriate repair mortars
- Apply a suitable primer on absorbent or smooth substrates to improve adhesion
Application Procedure
1. Mixing
- Pour clean water into a suitable mixing container.
- Gradually add FLOORTEK while mixing with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
- Allow the mixture to rest for 2–3 minutes before use.
2. Pot Life
- The prepared material remains workable for approximately 20 minutes.
3. Application
- Pour the mixed screed onto the prepared substrate.
- Adjust the required thickness using a steel trowel or levelling tool.
- Use a spiked roller to remove trapped air and improve flow characteristics.
- The screed will spread naturally, creating a smooth and level surface.
