Merks Bitu-Rub BB 593
Merks Bitu-Rub BB 593 is a single-component, ready-to-use, elastic, and waterproof liquid waterproofing material. Thanks to its bitumen and polymer-modified formulation, it provides reliable and long-lasting waterproofing protection for reinforced concrete surfaces in contact with soil. Its water-based formula is solvent-free and maintains elasticity even at low temperatures, bridging shrinkage cracks and protecting structural elements.

Surface Preparation
- Surfaces must be cleaned of oil, dirt, rust, and loose particles.
- If necessary, surfaces can be cleaned with a water jet.
- Large cracks and tie-rod holes should be repaired using Merks Repair Plus repair mortars.
- Corners should be chamfered before application.
- All surfaces must be primed with Prima Bituma Primer.
Application Method
- Stir the product thoroughly before use.
- It can be applied using a brush, roller, or airless spray machine.
- For effective waterproofing, two coats with a total thickness of approximately 1.5 mm are generally recommended.
- The second coat should be applied at a 90° angle to the first coat.
- Consumption: 1.5 – 2 kg/m²

Important Considerations
- Apply only on surfaces exposed to positive water pressure.
- Ambient temperature should be above +5°C during application.

- After retaining wall waterproofing applications, the surface should be protected with XPS boards and drainage sheets.
- Not suitable for water tanks and swimming pools (Sealmax series products are recommended).
- Clean all tools with water immediately after use.
