FİXA ANTIFREEZE 100 ANTI-FREEZE CONCRETE AND MORTAR ADMIXTURE | Cold Weather Setting Accelerator for Concrete
FİXA ANTIFREEZE 100 – Anti-Freeze Admixture for Concrete and Mortar
Product Description
FİXA ANTIFREEZE 100 is a specially formulated admixture that enables the safe application of concrete and mortar in cold weather conditions by accelerating setting time and improving resistance to freezing. It is chloride-free, does not damage reinforcement steel, and can be safely used in reinforced concrete applications. Its polynaphthalene sulfonate and nitrate salt-based formula promotes early strength development while minimizing risks associated with low temperatures.
Areas of Use
- Protection of concrete against freezing in cold weather
- Concrete applications requiring high early strength
- Protection of cement-based interior and exterior plasters against frost
- Concrete casting during sudden temperature drops
- Situations requiring early formwork removal
- Floor screeds
- Reinforced and non-reinforced concrete production
- Precast and prefabricated concrete manufacturing
- Pumped and non-pumped ready-mix concrete production
Advantages
- Accelerates the initial and final setting times of concrete, providing early strength gain
- Minimizes freezing risks and ensures continuity of work during cold weather
- Chloride-free formula does not harm reinforcement steel in reinforced concrete structures
- Improves the homogeneous distribution and hydration of cement and aggregate particles
Application Instructions
The water and admixture should be added in two stages:
- Add 50% of the mixing water without admixture to the concrete mix.
- Add FİXA ANTIFREEZE 100 to the remaining water according to the binder content.
- Mix at high speed for 1–2 minutes to ensure uniform distribution throughout the concrete or mortar.
- Do not add the admixture directly to dry materials; always mix it with water first.
- Concrete temperature should be maintained between +5°C and +15°C.
- Appropriate curing methods should be applied to prevent heat and moisture loss until the concrete reaches a strength of 4–5 N/mm².
- Wooden formwork is preferred over steel formwork whenever possible.
Consumption Rate
- 1–2.5 kg admixture per 100 kg of binder (cement, fly ash, slag, etc.)
- Can be increased up to 5 kg per 100 kg of binder under extremely cold conditions
Packaging and Storage
- 30 kg plastic container
- 180 kg drum
- Shelf life: 12 months in unopened packaging when stored in a cool, dry environment at +5°C to +15°C
- Protect the product from freezing
- Shake well before use

FAQ – FİXA ANTIFREEZE 100
What is it used for?
It prevents concrete from freezing in cold weather, shortens setting time, and provides early strength development.
In which applications can it be used?
Ready-mix concrete, precast production, screeds, plasters, and all concrete applications exposed to freezing risk.
How should the admixture be added?
Half of the total mixing water is added first. The admixture is then mixed into the remaining water and incorporated into the concrete mix.
Does it damage reinforcement steel?
No. It is chloride-free and completely safe for reinforced concrete applications.
Conclusion
FİXA ANTIFREEZE 100 is a chloride-free concrete and mortar admixture that ensures safe cold-weather applications by preventing freezing, accelerating setting, and promoting early strength development.
