KYK Mantotherm Dekominera H114 | Linear Textured White Cement-Based Decorative Coating

Product Description

KYK Mantotherm Dekominera H114 is a white cement-based, single-component, mineral-reinforced decorative topcoat coating material. It creates a natural linear textured appearance on surfaces, providing resistance against climatic conditions on exterior façades and an aesthetic finish for interior spaces.

Product Advantages

Natural and Decorative Appearance:
Provides a modern linear texture and aesthetic appearance to façades.

Resistance to Outdoor Conditions:
Resistant to rain, snow, and temperature fluctuations.

High Water Vapor Permeability (V2):
Allows the surface to breathe and reduces the risk of blistering.

Water-Repellent Structure:
Provides resistance against water and frost.

Paintable Surface:
Can be finished with exterior façade paint after application.

Easy Preparation and Application:
Provides easy mixing with a low-speed mixer and smooth application with a trowel.

Application Areas

  • Exterior façades: As a final decorative coating over cement-based fine plasters or thermal insulation systems.
  • Interior surfaces: Decorative surface coating applications.
  • Substrate requirement: Surfaces must be primed with Mantotherm Primer A206 before application.

Application Steps

1. Surface Preparation

  • The surface must be dry, clean, solid, and free from dust.
  • For surfaces where Mantotherm Plaster Mortar H111 has been applied, the surface must be primed with Mantotherm Primer A206.
  • Wait at least 12 hours after primer application before applying the Dekominera H114 coating.

2. Mixing Preparation

  • Water ratio: 22–24%
  • For a 25 kg bag: 5.5–6.0 liters of water

Due to its water-repellent additives, the product absorbs water slowly. Mix with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free consistency is achieved.

  • Allow the mixture to rest for 3–4 minutes.
  • Remix for 1–2 minutes before application.

3. Application and Texture Formation

  • Apply the product evenly onto the surface using a stainless steel trowel.
  • Remove excess material from the surface.
  • Create the texture within a maximum of 10 minutes after application.
  • Use a plastic trowel to create the linear texture with circular or sliding movements.
  • The trowel surface should be cleaned frequently during application.

Application temperature range: +5°C – +35°C

During application, protect the surface from direct sunlight, wind, and rain.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

On which surfaces can KYK Mantotherm Dekominera H114 be used?
It is used as a final decorative coating over thermal insulation systems and cement-based fine plasters on exterior façades and decorative interior surfaces.

How is the linear texture created?
The texture is created within 10 minutes after application by making linear movements with a plastic trowel. The trowel surface should be cleaned frequently.

Can the product be painted?
Yes. After the application has fully dried, finishing the surface with exterior façade paint is recommended.

What temperature range should be considered during application?
The surface and ambient temperature should be between +5°C and +35°C. Application should be avoided during frost, rain, excessive wind, or direct sunlight.

What is the difference between H112/H113 and H114?
H114 offers a distinctive aesthetic with its linear textured design. H112 provides a fine grain texture, while H113 creates a grain-textured appearance. The texture selection should be made according to the architectural style and design requirements.
