KYK Mantotherm Plaster Mortar H111 | Fiber-Reinforced, High Adhesion Plaster for Thermal Insulation Boards

Product Description

KYK Mantotherm Plaster Mortar H111 is a cement-based, single-component thermal insulation board plaster mortar reinforced with polymer, fiber, and water-repellent additives. It is designed for application on EPS, XPS, platinum, and mineral wool thermal insulation boards, providing high adhesion, crack resistance, and vapor permeability for both interior and exterior façade systems.

Key Advantages

High Adhesion:
Provides secure bonding performance on thermal insulation boards.

Fiber Reinforcement:
Reduces the risk of cracking and improves resistance against impacts and surface movements.

Water-Repellent Additives:
Creates a surface resistant to rain and moisture.

High Water Vapor Permeability (μ ≤ 15):
Allows the façade to breathe, reducing the risk of blistering and peeling.

Wide Climate Resistance:
Resistant to water, frost, and thermal changes.

Easy Preparation and Application:
Provides fast mixing with a low-speed mixer and practical application with a steel trowel.

Application Areas

  • Thermal insulation boards: EPS, XPS, platinum, mineral wool
  • Interior and exterior façade walls
  • System plaster applications with reinforcement mesh (KYK Mantotherm Reinforcement Mesh K914)

Application Steps (Summary)

1. Surface Preparation

  • The surface must be clean, dry, solid, and free from dust.
  • When correction plaster is required (defects deeper than 1 cm), use MegaTamir İ T101 / K T102 or structural repair products T103 / T104.

2. Mixing Preparation

  • Water ratio: 21–23%
  • For a 25 kg bag: 5.25–5.75 liters of water

Mix with a low-speed mixer until a lump-free consistency is achieved.

  • Allow the mixture to rest for 3–4 minutes.
  • Remix for 1–2 minutes before application.

3. First Coat + Reinforcement Mesh

  • Apply the first coat evenly using a steel trowel.
  • Place KYK Mantotherm Reinforcement Mesh K914 onto the fresh first coat without tension or folding.
  • Mesh overlaps must be at least 10 cm.
  • If corner profiles are used, overlaps must be at least 20 cm.

4. Second Coat

  • Apply the second coat after the first coat has slightly lost its moisture.
  • Smooth the surface using a finishing trowel.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

On which surfaces can H111 be used?
It can be used on EPS, XPS, platinum, and mineral wool thermal insulation boards, as well as interior and exterior façade walls.

Why should reinforcement mesh (K914) be used?
It reduces the risk of cracking and strengthens the system against impact and tensile forces. Mesh overlaps should be at least 10 cm.

How much mixing water is required?
For a 25 kg bag, 5.25–5.75 liters of water (21–23%) should be used.

When can the final coating be applied?
At least 7 days after application.

What are the fire classification and vapor permeability values?
The product has an A1 fire reaction classification and a water vapor permeability coefficient of μ ≤ 15.
