KYK Ceramic Adhesive is a cement-based, polymer-modified, single-component adhesive mortar. It provides strong adhesion by creating a powerful chemical bond between the applied surface and ceramic tiles, tiles, granite, marble, or porcelain materials. Thanks to its formulation complying with the TS EN 12004 C1–C2 standard, it can be safely used for both interior and exterior applications.
The surface must be clean, dry, solid, and free from dust, oil, and loose particles before application.
25 kg of KYK Ceramic Adhesive should be mixed with 6–7.5 liters of clean water using a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous, lump-free consistency is achieved.
The mortar is applied onto the surface using a notched trowel, and ceramic tiles are pressed firmly into place.
Grouting can be performed approximately 24 hours after application.
For exterior applications and large-sized tiles, the buttering-floating method (applying adhesive both on the substrate and the back of the tile) is recommended.
Actual consumption may vary depending on surface roughness and tile dimensions.
