KYK Megaİzo 2K S302 – Two-Component, Highly Elastic Bitumen-Based Waterproofing System

KYK Megaİzo 2K S302 is a two-component waterproofing system consisting of a polymer-modified bitumen emulsion-based liquid component and a mineral-filled powder component. It is solvent-free and forms a seamless, flexible, and waterproof membrane layer after curing.

Thanks to its high elasticity, it provides excellent crack-bridging performance and can be safely applied under challenging substrate conditions.

Application Method

Mixing ratio:
18 kg liquid component + 6 kg powder component (the complete set must be mixed together).

The powder component should be slowly added into the liquid component and mixed with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.

• Apply at least two coats to achieve a minimum dry film thickness of 3 mm.
• Each coat should be applied perpendicular to the previous coat direction.
• Application temperature: Between +5°C and +35°C.
• Under low temperature conditions (+5°C to +15°C) or relative humidity above 60%, at least three coats are recommended.
• Where required, reinforcement can be applied between coats using Megaİzo File S902.

Recommendations and Important Notes

• In areas exposed to pressurized water, application thickness and consumption rate should be increased.
• Backfilling or screed application should not be performed for at least 3 days after application.
• After full curing, the surface should be protected against mechanical damage with thermal insulation boards, drainage boards, or geotextile membranes.
• Avoid application during frost risk, rainfall, strong winds, or direct sunlight.
• Do not add any foreign materials into the product and do not use mixtures that have exceeded their pot life.
