Webertec 905
Waterproofing is one of the most important factors in ensuring the durability and long-term protection of buildings. Roofs, metal surfaces, and existing bituminous membranes are constantly exposed to weather conditions and may become vulnerable to water penetration over time.
Webertec 905 is a bitumen-based, UV-resistant, fiber-reinforced solvent-based liquid waterproofing membrane developed to provide reliable protection against these risks.
What is Webertec 905?
Webertec 905 is a bitumen-based, fiber-reinforced, UV-resistant liquid waterproofing product. It can be applied by brush, roller, or spray and is suitable for both horizontal and vertical surfaces.
Key Advantages
- Suitable for repairing existing bituminous membranes
- Resistant to UV radiation and weather conditions
- Applicable on both horizontal and vertical surfaces
- Resistant to acids, chemicals, salt water, and industrial gases
- Provides long-lasting waterproof protection
Applications
- Waterproofing of aged bituminous membranes
- Concrete roofs
- Metal roofs
- Zinc roof gutters
Suitable Substrates
- Cement-based renders and screeds
- Fair-faced concrete
- Bituminous membranes
- Metal roofs and zinc gutters
- Brick masonry surfaces
Note: Technical consultation is recommended for applications on other substrates.
Surface Preparation
Before application, the substrate must:
- Be clean and free from dirt, rust, dust, and contaminants
- Have all concrete protrusions and irregularities removed
- Be repaired with weber.rep MA 200 or weber.rep HKS if highly porous
- Be primed with weber.prim max when applied to cement-based or highly absorbent surfaces
Application Conditions and Method
- Ambient temperature should be between +1°C and +30°C
- Avoid application during extremely hot weather conditions
- Apply using a brush, roller, or spray equipment
- When multiple coats are required, allow 12 hours between coats
- Cracks and blisters in existing bituminous membranes must be repaired before application
- For roofs damaged by weather conditions, a two-coat application reinforced with fiberglass mesh between coats is recommended
