Webermin DUO

Webermin DUO is a cement-based, fiber-reinforced decorative mineral facade coating developed for modern and distinctive exterior designs. Its high durability, breathable structure, and ease of application make it a preferred solution for professional facade applications.

What is Webermin DUO?

  • Cement-based, fiber-reinforced mineral coating
  • Suitable for creating linear, circular, or directional textures
  • Designed as a finishing coat for exterior thermal insulation systems (EIFS/ETICS)
  • Grain size: S4
  • Application thickness: 3–3.5 mm
  • Water vapor permeability: V1
  • CO₂ permeability: C0
  • Crack bridging classification: A0
  • Mold resistance: K2
  • Packaging: 25 kg bag
  • Pot life: Approximately 2.5 hours

Key Advantages

High Vapor Permeability

Its V1-class vapor permeability allows walls to breathe and helps prevent moisture accumulation within the building envelope.

Fiber-Reinforced Structure

The reinforced formulation improves mechanical strength and resistance to environmental conditions.

Water and Frost Resistance

Provides excellent durability against freeze-thaw cycles and harsh weather conditions.

Decorative Design Flexibility

Offers the possibility of creating linear, circular, or directional patterns for unique architectural finishes.

Easy Application

Can be applied smoothly with a stainless steel trowel and textured using a plastic trowel.

Areas of Use

  • Exterior facades of all types of buildings
  • Exterior thermal insulation systems (EIFS/ETICS)
  • Decorative finishing coat applications

Suitable Substrates

  • Cement-based plasters
  • Fair-faced concrete surfaces
  • Surfaces treated with webertec R, RK, or RM
  • Aerated concrete surfaces coated with suitable aerated concrete plaster

For other substrates, technical consultation is recommended.

Surface Preparation

Before application:

  • The substrate must be clean, sound, and even.
  • Surfaces should be pre-moistened.
  • In hot and windy weather conditions, the substrate should be saturated with water before application.

Application Conditions

  • Ambient temperature: +5°C to +30°C
  • Do not apply on frozen surfaces or surfaces at risk of freezing.
  • Avoid application under strong winds or direct sunlight.

Application Instructions

Mixing

  • Add 6–6.5 liters of clean water to a 25 kg bag.
  • Mix thoroughly with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous consistency is achieved.
  • Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes.
  • Remix briefly before use.

Application

  • Apply evenly using a stainless steel trowel.
  • The application thickness should be adjusted according to the largest aggregate size.

Texturing

  • Use a plastic trowel to create linear, circular, or directional patterns.
  • Texturing must be completed while the material is still wet.

Painting (Optional)

  • Once fully cured, the surface may be painted with a silicone-enhanced exterior facade paint.
  • Allow a minimum curing period of 7 days before painting.

Consumption

Approximately 2.9–3.1 kg/m²

Actual consumption may vary depending on substrate conditions and application technique.

Important Notes

  • Not suitable for horizontal surfaces or surfaces with a slope below 45°.
  • Do not apply directly onto brick, aerated concrete, or weak plaster substrates.
  • Material that has started to set must not be reused.
  • When selecting dark facade colors, the Light Reflectance Value (LRV) should be above 25.
  • Tools should be cleaned with water before the material hardens.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is Webermin DUO?

It is a cement-based, fiber-reinforced decorative mineral facade coating that allows the creation of various textured finishes.

Which surfaces are suitable for application?

It can be applied to cement-based plasters, properly prepared concrete surfaces, surfaces treated with webertec systems, and plastered aerated concrete substrates.

What is the recommended application thickness?

The recommended thickness is 3–3.5 mm.

Can Webermin DUO be painted?

Yes. The surface can be painted with silicone-based exterior facade paint after a minimum curing period of 7 days.

How are decorative textures created?

Patterns are created using a plastic trowel with circular, linear, or directional movements while the coating is still wet.

Can Webermin DUO be applied to frozen surfaces?

No. The product must not be applied to frozen substrates or surfaces that may be exposed to freezing conditions shortly after application.
