Specially developed for bonding thermal insulation boards, it combines strong adhesion performance with excellent gap-filling capacity. Suitable for decorative element installations as well, the product offers a practical and reliable solution thanks to its fast-curing properties and contribution to thermal and acoustic insulation.
Product Description
Weber Foam Fix is a polyurethane-based, single-component mounting foam that hardens through exposure to atmospheric moisture. It is designed for bonding thermal insulation boards and decorative architectural elements such as façade moldings.
Advantages
- Strong adhesion performance
- Fast curing properties
- High gap-filling capacity
- Contributes to thermal and sound insulation
Areas of Use
Weber Foam Fix is suitable for the following applications:
- Bonding XPS and EPS thermal insulation boards
- Installation of decorative moldings and architectural elements
- Filling gaps in wall and roof systems
- Sealing beam-to-wall connection points
- Filling expansion joints
Note: The product is not resistant to UV radiation. After application, it should be covered with paint, plaster, or another suitable coating.
Suitable Substrates
Suitable for the following indoor and outdoor surfaces:
- Concrete, precast concrete, fiber-reinforced concrete, cement boards, and roof tiles
- Wood, brick, stone, cement-based, and plastered surfaces
- Gypsum boards, hardboard panels, and metal surfaces
Technical evaluation is recommended for other substrate types.
Surface Preparation
- Application surfaces must be clean and dry.
- Oil, paint, dust, and other contaminants must be completely removed.
- Weak coatings should be scraped off and the surface leveled if necessary.
- For optimal curing performance, lightly moisten the surface before application.
- Masking tape may be used where required.
Application Conditions
- Application temperature: +5°C to +35°C
- Do not apply in extremely hot or highly humid environments.
- Do not apply on frozen surfaces or surfaces at risk of freezing.
Application Instructions
- Shake the aerosol can vigorously for at least 30 seconds before use.
- Adjust the foam output using the application gun.
- Maintain a distance of approximately 1–2 cm between the nozzle and the substrate during application.
- After application to insulation boards, apply pressure for approximately 8–10 minutes to ensure proper bonding.
- Fresh foam can be cleaned with acetone.
- Hardened foam can only be removed mechanically.
Warnings and Recommendations
- Does not adhere to polyethylene, silicone, or Teflon surfaces.
- Avoid impact or movement of insulation boards during installation.
- In low-humidity environments, lightly moisten the surface to accelerate the curing reaction.
- At low temperatures, allow the product to reach room temperature before use.
- Always use appropriate personal protective equipment during application.
- Apply only in well-ventilated areas.
