Advantages
- Super flexible formulation for high-performance installations
- Suitable for tile-over-tile applications
- Can be used in swimming pools
- Durable under heavy traffic conditions
- Compatible with underfloor heating systems
Surface Preparation
- The substrate must be clean, dry, sound, and level.
- Weak plaster layers thinner than 3 mm should be removed.
- Porous surfaces should be lightly dampened before application.
- Major repairs should be carried out using weber.rep products, while minor corrections may be made using Weberkol XL Flex itself.
Application Conditions
- Ambient temperature: +5°C to +35°C
- Do not apply on frozen substrates or surfaces at risk of freezing within 24 hours.
- Avoid direct sunlight, strong winds, and excessively hot surfaces during application.
- If surface skinning occurs, re-comb the adhesive with the notched trowel before installation.
Application Procedure
Mixing
Grey Version
- 25 kg Weberkol XL Flex + 6.75–7.5 liters of water
White Version
- 25 kg Weberkol XL Flex + 6.75–7.25 liters of water
- Mix with a low-speed mixer until a lump-free consistency is achieved.
- Allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes.
- Remix for 1–2 minutes before use.
Adhesive Application
- Apply the adhesive using a notched steel trowel.
- Select the notch size according to tile dimensions and substrate flatness.
Double-Bonding Applications
For large-format tiles:
- Apply adhesive both to the substrate and to the back of the tile.
- Use a rubber mallet to tap tiles into place and eliminate air voids.
